The Knowledge of God Objectively Considered
& The Knowledge of God Subjectively Considered

being a two part of a systematic theology
    by Robert J Breckinridge
    546pp & 714pp red cloth with d/w, £20.95 & £25.95
“Dr. Breckinridge’s book will take its place by the side of the works of the greatest masters, and none will feel that they are dishonoured by the company of the newcomer. It has peculiar merits. It is strictly an original work—the product of the author’s own thoughts, the offspring of his own mind. He has studied and digested much form the labours of others, but has borrowed nothing…. The plan, too, adapts it to general use. The humblest Christian can read it with almost as much profit as the minister. It is pure, unmixed Gospel, presented in a form at once suited to edify and instruct…. The author’s soul is always on fire. He knows God only to love Him, and he seems to feel that he has taught nothing until he has kindled the same flame in the minds of his pupils.” Review of the first part by James Henley Thornwell. (A much fuller review by Thornwell of the first part of this set is found The Collected Writings of James Henley Thornwell, Vol. 1, pp443-488.)

The Two Thousand Confessors of Sixteen Sixty-Two
    by Thomas Coleman
    218pp brown cloth with d/w £11.95
This is rare volume, first published in 1860. The author reviews the events, details the principles upon which the ministers acted, the oppressive measures under which they suffered, and the influence they have had on succeeding times. The book is complete with biographical sketches and facts and anecdotes characteristic of the times in which they lived. It is an eminently accessible introduction to this vital period in English church history.

Expositions upon the Epistles of Philippians and Colossians
    by Jean Daillé
    192 + 272pp in a single volume, dark blue cloth with d/w £19.95
This edition was originally published together with Jenkyn on Jude by Nichol in 1863. Jean Daillé (1594-1670) was a French Huguenot minister and Biblical commentator.
In his Sermons on the Philippians and Colossians, Daillé vindicated his claim to rank as a great preacher as well as an able controversialist. He was president of the last national synod held in France, which met at Loudun in 1659. Spurgeon says of these commentaries: “Written in a deliciously florid style. Very sweet and evangelical: after the French manner.”

A Commentary of the Book of Psalms (2 vols)
    by William De Burgh
    1028pp, dark blue cloth with d/w. £28.95
Published for Sovereign Grace Advent Testimony
“A second-advent interpreter; and one of the best of his class. Highly esteemed by those who are enthusiastic upon prophetical subjects.” C H Spurgeon

A History of the Geneva Bible by Lewis Lupton (25 volumes)

Our plan is to reprint the volumes that are out of print over the next year. Every endeavour will be made to match the original bindings but as the series was published over a period of 15-20 years the shade of the cloth used varied. What we can guarantee is that the volumes will match in size and the dustjackets will remain the same. We do not expect to be reprinting all the volumes so as to produce a totally new set as there are significant quantites of some volumes remaining whilst others are down to the last 30 copies. The volumes, though a set, are actually, in most cases, stand-alone volumes covering a particular subject or aspect of the history.

    Possible publications for 2008
